Now We are short listed for participating in the Tender. We want to participate jointly and we are looking Consultant Firm that have the following personnel:

Chief Consultant (Museologist): Must have Masters Degree from a recognized university in one of the following areas of study : Archaeology, Anthropology, History, Folklore or Art History; Ph.D. will get priority.

Must have experience in museum work in a foreign country.

Consultant (Numismatist): Must have Master's Degree from a recognized university in one of the following areas of study: History, Islamic History or Art History.

Consultant (Archaeologist): Must have Master's Degree from a recognized university in one of the following areas of study:Archaeology or History; Must have major publications on Archaeology-, Must have research publications on Archaeological objects in both Bangla and English; Must have experience in museum work.
Consultant (Art Historian): Must have Master's Degree from a recognized university in Art History; Must have training in Art History; Must have research publications on Art History (manuscript painting or miniature) in both Bangla and English.

Consultant (Historian): Must have Master's Degree from a recognized university in one of the following areas of study: History, Folklore or Art history;

Must have major publications on History/ Folklore or Art history; Must have research publications on folk objects in both Bangla and English-, A person who was previously connected with other museums will get priority.

Consultant (Natural History): Must have Master's Degree from a recognized university in Botany, Zoology and Geology; Must have major research publications in both Bangla and English.

Name of Work: Information, Communication and Digitalization Program of Bangladesh National Museum (BNM).

Description of Work: The scope of the assignment are as follows:

• A detail study of the National Museum and its branches to find the requirements for the digitalization and automation;
• All the valuable cultural and natural objects will be registered pictorially, in Bangla & English to produce Object identification (Object ID) for each object and preserve detail information of all objects into a central database system. The scope includes the design, development and deployment of the system;
• Introduce Management Information System (MIS) that will include the Object Identification System, Human Resource Information System, Accounting Management System, Dynamic Website, Library and Archives Management System;
• e-communication and e-governance by establishing high speed Internet connection and Local Area Network (LAN) within BNM and its branches;
• Establish a Digital Library System for BNM;
• Capacity building of employees of BNM and its branches to cope with the concept of virtual museum; and Provide up to date information of BNM to users via its website.
• The Procurement Consultancy Services for required Computers hardware, package software, Tele-communication equipments etc.
• However, the details of every aspects of the scope will be elaborated at the RFP stage
